About Bull Allen
I have always been fascinated with live fire cooking and the delicious transformation in flavor that happens when smoke and heat slowly envelope great cuts of beef, pork, and poultry seasoned with salt, pepper, and the right spices. My barbecues over the past ten years have become memorable events for family and friends and now I want to share my passion for good barbecue with you!
My father, Dan Allen Covington (pictured), earned his nickname “Bull” through a rather unconventional method of school yard fighting when he was a freshman at Franklin High School. I guess being unconventional has its benefits because Bull can also take random ingredients and turn them into a culinary masterpiece. I tend to be a bit more traditional like another great cook—my mother—but I respect the innovation that comes with the unconventional. Bull Allen BBQ is an ode to the wonderful collision of traditional and unconventional that is sure to create many incredible and memorable dining experiences for you!
